The establishment of Idemitsu Lubricants America Corporation (originally Apollo America Corporation) as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Idemitsu Kosan. Sales offices open in Detroit, Michigan, and Los Angeles, California, symbolizing a strong commitment to the North American market.
